October 6, 2014. State Senator Ted Lieu continued to pick up community support for his race to succeed Congressman Henry Waxman in the 33rd Congressional District with the endorsement of Agoura Hills Mayor Pro Temp Illece Buckley Weber, Agoura Hills Councilmember John Edelston and Agoura Hills Councilmember Harry Schwarz, as well as the endorsement of three former Agoura Hills Mayors: Louise Rishoff, John Reinhardt and Dan Kuperberg.
“I am honored and touched by the outpouring of support for my candidacy from such great leaders from Agoura Hills,” said State Senator Ted Lieu.

"Ted Lieu has shown he can handle the complex legislative issues that matter to Californians in the legislature and will continue tackling those complex issues in the Congress, such as health care, protecting our environment and growing our economy" Said Councilman John Edelston.
"Ted Lieu was not afraid to make the hard decisions necessary to balance state budgets while preserving essential services for cities like Agoura Hills. I am proud to support Ted Lieu because he will be a thoughtful legislative champion for the district and get things done,” said former Mayor Jeff Reinhardt.
“After 16 years serving Agoura Hills, I know the importance of having someone in Washington who can get things done for the district. Ted Lieu is the only candidate who knows the issues facing Agoura Hills, who has shown he can get things done in the legislature and can bring people together to solve problems." Said former Mayor Dan Kuperberg.
"For 40 years, we've been blessed with a champion for preserving open space and quality of life with Henry Waxman. With his retirement, there is only one candidate to replace him who knows the issues and has a record of delivering for Californians: State Senator Ted Lieu,” said former Mayor Louise Rishoff. “I'm proud to support Ted Lieu because I have seen the work he has done for California in Sacramento to protect the environment and create jobs, and I know he will take that experience to Washington and get results."
