LA City Councilmembers Buscaino and LaBonge Endorse Lieu

August 27, 2014 - Los Angeles City Councilmembers Joe Buscaino and Tom LaBonge have both endorsed State Senator Ted Lieu for CD 33. They represent the 15th and 4th council districts respectively, both of which have overlap with CD 33.  They join LA Councilmembers Mike Bonin and Paul Koretz, both of whom previously endorsed.  All LA Councilmembers that have districts that overlap with CD 33 have now endorsed Ted Lieu for Congress.

"Ted lieu has been standing up and delivering for San Pedro, the Harbor and the South Bay for over ten years as a local Councilmember and as a legislator.  Ted has been an effective voice for local residents, championing legislation for our ports, helping small businesses grow and protecting our environment.  I know that I can count on him to ensure our communities receive their fair share from Washington and I know that I have his support in redeveloping our waterfront."  Los Angeles City Councilmember Joe Buscaino

"Like me, Ted Lieu has always been a champion for our neighborhoods and quality of life.  Ted is effective, hardworking, and delivers for real people.  Ted Lieu has my full support for Congress."  Los Angeles City Councilmember Tom LaBonge

State Senator Ted Lieu's district comprises more than 80 percent of the voters in CD 33. Lieu is a long-time resident of the district, an Air Force veteran and has served time on the Torrance City Council, State Assembly and State Senate.
