Communications Workers of America, Southern CA Council Endorse Lieu for Congress

LOS ANGELES - The Ted Lieu for Congress campaign today received another big endorsement from the Communications Workers of America, Southern California Council. CWA-SCC is comprised of 17 CWA locals within the geographical area of Southern California. Ted Lieu is running to succeed Rep. Henry Waxman in California’s 33rd Congressional District. Waxman will retire at the end of the year.

"Ted Lieu has been a leader for California job growth and retention.  He's our choice for Congress because he's a champion for working families and will fight for an economy that grows jobs at home, not overseas," said T. Santora, Political Director CWA Southern California Council.  "He is a smart, tenacious, incredibly effective legislator and we know he will be an outstanding member of Congress.  CWA is proud to endorse Ted Lieu."
The Communications Workers of America, Southern California Council represents workers in the fields of traditional & wireless telecommunications, news reporting, security video systems, professional union staff, financial services, skills training, and computer programming.
State Senator Ted Lieu's district comprises more than 80 percent of the voters in CD 33.  Lieu is a long-time resident of the district, an Air Force veteran and has served on the Torrance City Council, State Assembly and Senate.
