Torrance Firefighters Endorse Lieu for Congress

Important Endorsement Comes on Heels of major endorsements Monday and Wednesday

Los Angeles - On the heels of endorsements from ILWU Local 13, ILWU Local 94, ALADS and three prominent Santa Monica city councilmembers earlier this week, Ted Lieu for Congress got another key endorsement today, with the backing of the Torrance Firefighters Association.

"We enthusiastically endorse Ted Lieu for Congress.  From his time on the Torrance City Council to now, Senator Lieu has been a warrior for public safety.  He has never wavered in fighting for the interests of the public, and the first responders that protect the public.  The Torrance Firefighters Association is honored to endorse Ted Lieu for Congress," said President of the Torrance Firefighters Association Ryan Rasnick.

“I’ve had the privilege to work alongside the Torrance Firefighters Association for many years now.  I’m in awe of how tirelessly these men and women in uniform work to keep Torrance safe every single day.  I’m thrilled to have their support in my campaign for Congress,” said State Senator
Ted Lieu.

State Senator Ted Lieu’s current district comprises more than 80 percent of the voters in CD 33.  Lieu is a long-time resident of the district, an Air Force veteran and has served time on the Torrance City Council, State Assembly and the California State Senate.
