Los Angeles- Former Congressmember and long time Los Angeles County Supervisor Yvonne Brathwaite Burke today endorsed State Senator Ted Lieu for Congress.  Lieu is running to replace Rep. Henry Waxman who will retire at the end of this year.

LOS ANGELES - Richard Riordan, who served as Mayor of Los Angeles from 1993-2001, today endorsed State Senator Ted Lieu in his bid for Congress.  Lieu is running for CD 33, currently held by Rep. Henry Waxman who will retire at the end of this year.

Lieu momentum continues with support of major labor group

LOS ANGELES - After receiving several endorsements from labor organizations and the official endorsement of the California Democratic Party last weekend, Ted Lieu’s campaign continued its momentum with an endorsement from SEIU California. SEIU California represents over 700,000 public service employees across the state. Lieu is running for Congressional District 33. The district is currently represented by Henry Waxman, who is retiring at the end of this year.

LOS ANGELES - The local support for Ted Lieu for Congress continued to pour in on Wednesday as three Santa Monica City Councilmembers announced their support for the State Senator from Torrance. Santa Monica City Councilmembers Kevin McKeown, Ted Winterer and Tony Vazquez each threw their support behind Lieu in the race to replace Rep. Henry Waxman who will retire at the end of this year.

LOS ANGELES – Congressional candidate and State Senator Ted Lieu today announced the endorsement of Congressman Mark Takano in the race to replace retiring Rep. Henry Waxman. Takano represents Congressional District 41, which covers parts of Riverside and San Bernardino County. Lieu is running for Congressional District 33. Takano is the fourth member of Congress to endorse Lieu, and one of over 70 local and state elected official endorsers.

Lockyer second statewide official to endorse Lieu this week

Sacramento, CA – State Senator Ted Lieu earned his second Statewide endorsement of the week, with the backing of California State Treasurer Bill Lockyer today.
